A unique cycling path wraps around Lake Ladoga, passing through both the Leningrad Region and the Republic of Karalla, and provides access to the lake’s charming islands and ancient monasteries.
The path begins from a base camp at Orehovo, where preparations can be made and cycling equipment checked out. From there the cyclist circles the lake on forest paths, taking in all the majestic splendor of the lake’s varied geological formations. Along the way the cyclist can visit the islands and monasteries for which Lake Ladoga is famous.
