Historical – memorial museum of Mikhail Lomonosov

The museum is located in the wooden house built in 1892 in the place/sight where Lomonosov’s home used to be. Near the house there has been preserved the pond dug by Lomonosov’s father. The museum’s expositions reflect history and culture of the Akhangelsk land of Lomonosov’s time, tell about biography and scientific discoveries of the great compatriot.

In the museum there are Lomonosov’s scientific and literal works. Of special museum value are the unique collections of Kholmogory born carvings and old printed books of the XVIII century. Also there is the on-going picture gallery.
