Vologda State museum-preserve of history, architecture and decorative arts
The displays of the Museum include the works of old Russian artists, manuscripts, handicrafts, commodities, coins, weapon, armour, archaeological finds. The best exhibits were displayed in Great Britain, Germany, France, Holland, Italy, Finland and Hungary. The Museum offers different excursions.
There are several branches of the Museum. They are the House of Peter the Great, the Museum of Architecture and Ethnography, the Exhibition Complex, the House of A.Mozhaysky, an aircraft designer, and the Museum of the poet K.Batyushkov.
